2000 F-750 HYDRO-JETTER

OPERATOR’S S.O.P.

 

 

TO BE PERFORMED WHILE IN CAB: 

 

 1.  Come to complete stop.

 2.  Place transmission selector in neutral.

 3.  Engage parking brake.

 4.  Ensure 4-way flashers, beacons, and light bar are on as needed.

 5.  Engage P.T.O. switch. (red indicator light signifies switch is in the on position.)(see cab interior item #1)

 6.  Check for traffic before exiting vehicle, using three point dismount.

TO BE CONTINUED AT REAR OF TRUCK:

 

 1.  Set up traffic control as needed.

 2.  After removing lid, pull down on the reel control handle to lower the cleaning tool into the manhole. (see operator’s station item #2)

 3.  Place the cleaning tool in the line segment to be cleaned.

 4.  Turn the variable speed control knob counter clockwise to ensure the valve is completely open. (see operator’s station item #3)

 5.  Pull out the pump control valve handle all the way. (see picture item #4)

 6.  Push the chrome pressure valve handle all the way up, (to the pressure on position). (see operator’s station item #5)

 7.  Move the throttle on/off switch to the throttle on position, while pulling down on the reel control handle. (see operator’s station item #6)

 8.  Hold the throttle up/down switch in the up position until desired pressure and/or reel speeds are achieved. (see operator’s station item #7)

 9.  When desired footage is achieved, release the reel control handle and turn the throttle on/off switch to off position.

10. Place the hose in the hose reel guide, and secure.

11. Rotate the variable speed control knob clockwise to the closed position.

12. Switch the throttle on/off switch back to the on position.

13. Hold the throttle up/down switch in the up position until desired pressure is achieved.

14. Push up on the reel control handle, while rotating the variable speed control knob counter clockwise until desired retrieval speed is achieved.

15. Level hose on the reel as needed.

16. When desired hose retrieval is achieved, release the reel control handle.

17. Switch the throttle on/off switch to the off position.

18. Depress the pump control valve handle all the way in. (wait for the water pressure to drop completely)

19. Pull the chrome pressure valve handle all the way down, to the pressure off position.

20. Remove the cleaning tool from the pipe.

21. Rotate the variable speed control knob counter clockwise to open valve.

22. Push up on the reel control handle to remove the cleaning tool from the manhole.

23. Immediately replace the lid.

24. Secure the cleaning tool and close the rear door.

TO COMPLETE PROCEDURE:

 

1.      Remove traffic control devices.

2.      Using three point mount, re-enter cab.

3.      Disengage the P.T.O. switch. (red indicator light should go out.)

4.      Depress the brake pedal, place the transmission selector in the drive position, release the parking brake and when safe to do so,

      proceed to the next set up.                       

5.      Ensure that 4 way flashers, beacons, and light bar are on/off as needed.
